The following e-mail is forwarded and represents an effort by concerned psychologists to do what local school boards are struggling with and what the government’s Department of Education has so far failed to do – provide a central resource for parents – please read and forward.
Their web site https://www.pandemic-parent.org/ opening reads:
We’re with you. We didn’t sign up for 2020 either.
As two psychologists, scholars, and moms, we’re here to share science-based research to help all who care for kids navigate this pandemic, together.

Subject: [PsyLawList] Free Pandemic Parenting Resources
Dr. Lindsay Malloy and I (along with our colleagues) have spent the last six months gathering data on how COVID-19 is impacting hundreds of families in the U.S. and Canada. As we enter another potential wave of remote learning, quarantine, and continued uncertainty, we felt it important that we share the preliminary findings from our research to help families now.
We created Pandemic Parenting to provide a platform where we and other experts can share free science-based knowledge, experience, and resources. Our goal is to build a supportive, informed community for all who care for or work with children and seek information about how to make the tough decisions ahead while coping with pandemic-related stress.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, we’d love for you to tune in for our upcoming webinars, where we'll share results from the project you and many of your colleagues participated in:
· Aug. 6: To School or Not to School: Making Decisions in the Time of COVID-19
· Aug 18: Talking to Kids about COVID-19
You can learn more about Pandemic Parenting on our website, by following us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, or by subscribing to the Pandemic Parenting email list. Feel free to share with loved ones, colleagues, and clients.
Please join us - we're in this together,
